Shari Berlin Hopewell Junction, New York Obituary

Shari Berlin

Shari was born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 13, 1954 to Floyd and Mary Louise (Crockett) Johnson. She attended Mount Vernon public schools and graduated from Buffalo State University in 1976. She married Eric Berlin in 1987. Her interests included theater and drama. She spent her professional career as a sales representative at Saks Fifth Avenue and Brooks Brothers where she had a dedicated clientele that appreciated her fashion expertise. Shari’s love of God and the Holy Spirit caused her to inspire others to formulate a deeper walk with God. She was active in Faith Church and used this platform as a means of connecting with women within the church through leading bible study and prayer. Shari had a great love for her family and was a key figure in all family activities. She was a counselor to her family and one they could always depend on for her great wisdom. In the last few years, Shari fought a brave battle against cancer while keeping an upbeat spirit and attitude of faith. She was always grateful for prayers and support from friends and family. She was predeceased by her mother and father, and infant son Joshua. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Keith Johnson; her sister Pamela Crentsil and brother-in-law Michael Crentsil; nieces, Hana Berlin, Ariana Crentsil; nephews, Akio Berlin and Michael Keith Crentsil; uncle James Crockett; aunt Barbara Caines; and a host of cousins: Sheila Griffith, Cheryl Byrd, Anthony Griffith, Michael Griffith, Danielle Byrd, Dante Wheeler and Jason Collins. Although our hearts are heavy this days, we know Shari is in the presence of God.
