POUGHKEEPSIE- Kathleen R. Cole, 61, an area resident for 39 years, died peacefully with her family by her side on September 26, 2016 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. Born in Chelsea, MA on February 2, 1955, she was the daughter of William C. and Elsie A. LeBarron. Kathleen was raised in the Bronx and North Salem, NY and received a BA in Education from SUNY Oneonta. On June 19, 1977 in Croton Falls, NY she married James Cole who survives at home. Kathleen is also survived by her children, Michael Cole and his wife Eliza of Fairfield, CT; Kristy Emery and her husband Christopher of Stormville, NY; and Kaitlin Cole and Patrick Flaherty of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Payton Cole, Hunter Cole, Gwendolyn Emery, and Elliana Emery; and her brothers, Kenneth, Paul and his wife Kathy, and Eugene and his wife Kari, and their families. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. Kathleen was an avid sports fan and gardener, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Denis Church followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
