Argyle Naida McGeoch, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Washington Center, Argyle. Born December 1, 1926 in Argyle she was the daughter of the late Harper K. and Bessie M. (Brayman) Richards. She graduated from Argyle Central School. She was employed by Argyle Central School as a secretary, on Wednesday nights she worked for Miller’s Live Stock, and retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 plus years of service. In April 1945 Naida married Donald “Bun” McGeoch at the United Methodist Church. Naida was a diehard Mets fan. She enjoyed going to Hampton Beach, shopping with her grandchildren, all types of music, watching the food network, baking, and cooking. Naida was a lifelong member of Argyle United Methodist Church, Order Of the Eastern Star and the women’s association at the church. In addition to her parents, Naida was predeceased by her husband Donald “Bun” McGeoch and her sister Yvonne Copeland. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Melanie Swinton and her husband A. David of Lake George, Terry McGeoch and his wife Anne of Argyle and Randy McGeoch of Argyle, grandchildren; Jennifer Swinton, Jamie Rossi, Andrew Swinton, Christopher Swinton, Grace McGeoch, and Kathryn McGeoch, great grandchildren; Ava Swinton, Andrew Swinton, Lucia Rossi, Marcello Rossi, and Hunter Swinton, sisters; Shirley Adams, Joyce Austin, and Rae Baker, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Argyle United Methodist Church, Sheridan Street, Argyle, NY 12809 with the Rev. Deb Peacock, Pastor, and the Rev. Stephen Mclean officiating. Burial will follow the service at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
