Sue (Ammann) Black Beloved wife and Mother passed away Saturday, August 6th with her loving husband Jeff and her sons, Steven and Michael by her side. Sue was born March 5th 1954 in Elmira, New York. Sue was employed as a speech pathologist at Putnam/Northern Westchester B.O.C.E.S. for a number of years prior to her tenure at Mahopac Central School District until her retirement in 2010. Following her retirement, Sue volunteered at St. James the Apostle School delivering reading instruction for students in grades 1-8. Aside from her passion for teaching, Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, swimming, the ocean and music. Sue will always be remembered, by those who were honored to know her, for her caring, kindness, compassion, tremendous generosity and absolute devotion to family and friends. Sue always took the time to think of others before herself. Sue is predeceased by her beloved Mother, Jean King and father, Jack Benson. Sue is survived by her loving husband Jeff, her twin sons Michael and Steven Ammann, her brother Ray Benson, her sister Judy Mangor and Judy’s husband Benny. Sue is also survived by nieces Kristine and Jodie Mangor, Jody’s sons Henry and Theo and nephew Eric Mangor and his wife Amy. A celebration of Sue’s will take place at Mahopac Golf and Beach Club, 601 N. Lake Blvd., Mahopac, NY.10541 on Friday, August 19th at 1:00 pm.
