Nancy Spinelli

Nancy Sposato Spinelli was born on September 5,1923 to Frank & Grace Sposato in Cosenza Italy. She came to the United States at the age of 21/2. Nancy was the oldest of six children. Pre-deceased by her brothers Louis & Frank & sister Dolores.Survived by her brother John (Harrison, NY) Robert (Florida). Nancy resided in Harrison most of her life. She graduated from Harrison HS in 1941 and was very proud of having earned a NYS Regents Diploma. On October 12,1947 she married the love of her life Leonard Spinelli who pre-deceased her on September 19,2015. Nancy raised two children Gary ( Jeanette) and Beverly (George). She was the loving Grandmother to Lauren, Mark & Andrew. Nancy worked as a waitress in her brothers restaurant Surrey's for many years as well as a bank teller at Sound Federal Bank. She was a proud member of the Harrison Seniors, Knights of Columbus Columbiettes, devoted member of St. Gregory Church. Known for her wonderful cooking her Italian cookies and Easter bread. Nancy loved her family gatherings. A wake service will be held on July 7,2016 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Harrison Funeral Home 329 Halstead Ave Harrison, NY 914-835-0284. Mass will be celebrated at 11am on July 8,2016 at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich, CT.
