John (Jack) W. Schroff, 81, of Carmel, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at his home. He was born in White Plains, NY to John and Eva Schroff. He lived most of his life in Carmel, NY. John worked as a switch man for New York Telephone /NYNEX. John enjoyed the outdoors and "tinkering" in his Workshop which he built in the basement of his home. He was married for 43 years before losing his beloved wife Marjorie in 2000. He is survived by his son Gary and his wife Christine, his daughters Jeanne, Jacquelyn, Julie and her husband David. He was the loving grandfather of Marissa (David), Gregory, Cheryl, Casey, Abigail, Mathew, Nicholas, Kira, Elizabeth and Joseph. He is also survived by his sister-in-law June Garrett and her husband Donald.
