Marilyn R. Hicks of North St., Arcade died Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 79. She was born October 15, 1936 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Earl and Frances (Newland) Danforth. She was a member of the former Calvary Alliance Church in Arcade, now known as the Crosstown Alliance Church. She had worked at Ames in Yorkshire for years where she ran the jewelry counter. She also baby sat children in the area and had worked at Motorola in Arcade as well as M&T Bank in Buffalo. She is survived by her husband - William Hicks who she married August 16, 1958 in Buffalo; her children: Kenneth (Leslie) Hicks of Delevan, Pamela (James) Wilkinson of Delevan, Donald (Barbara) Hicks of South Alabama, NY and Richard Hicks of Batavia; her siblings: Beverly Richards of Akron, NY and Earl (LaRae) Danforth of Perrysburg, OH; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister - Jane Jackson.
