Lloyd S. Knose of Southview Drive, Arcade died Monday, July 11, 2016 at The Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Machias at the age of 80. He was born January 29, 1936 in Harrison, OH a son of the late Meade and Anna (Lacey) Knose. He was a member of the Arcade United Church of Christ Congregational and was on the building and grounds committee. He was a 52 year member of the Bowmansville Fire Department where he also served as a past president and chief. He was also a member of the Chaffee-Sardinia Fire Department, the Arcade American Legion and the Western New York Scroller's Association. He was also a United States Army Veteran and served from 1959-1961. Lloyd always enjoyed and loved doing for others. He was employed at Scott Aviation in Lancaster, NY where he was a building and maintenance mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Williams) Knose whom he married April 25, 1981 in Williamsville, NY; his children: Roxana Schuler of Clarence Center, Scott (Peggy) Knose of Alden; Gregory Knose of West Seneca, Tracy Pattison, Todd (Susie) Knose of Connecticut and Heather (Chris) Van Leaven of Glenwood; his sister: Fern (late Marshall) Storms; his sisters-in-law: Ann and Ophelia Knose; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Meade Jr., William, and Allen (Wanda) Knose.
