Gordon L. Lafferty of Main St., Arcade died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Buffalo VA Hospital at the age of 80. He was born March 24, 1936 in Rushford, NY a son of the late Fred and Mary (Cooper) Lafferty. He was a United States Korean War Veteran and trained and owned horses for 20 years. He also had his bachelor's degree from Alfred University. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf everyday. He was an electrical engineer for Motorola in Arcade. He is survived by his children: Lynn Lafferty of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Craig Lafferty of Arcade; two grandchildren: Hannah and Riley Lafferty of Three Rivers, CA; his brothers: Theodore Lafferty of Olean and Jerald Lafferty of Maryland; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife - Phyllis (nee Boreanaz) Lafferty and his siblings: June Sustic, Bonnie Fisher and Fred Lafferty. Friends may call Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11 AM.
