Gail A. Carnahan, of Curriers Rd., Arcade, died Sunday September 4, 2016 in Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home, Springville at the age of 76. She was born February 25, 1940 in Forestville, New York a daughter of the late Henry and Lena (nee Raymond) Gens. She was a graduate of Forestville Central School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arcade; a past member of the Strykersville Rescue Squad; a member of the WNY "Winnies" RV Club and enjoyed cake decorating, quilting and cross stitch. She is survived by her husband - Allan Carnahan whom she married July 11, 1959 in Forestville; two sons - Donald (Deborah) Carnahan of Arcade and Gary (Christine) Carnahan of Rochester; six grandchildren - Sarah (Kevin) Reed, Benjamin Carnahan, Chelsea Carnahan, Abbey Brown, James Carnahan and Catriona Carnahan; a great-granddaughter - Haley Reed and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter - Marji Carnahan who passed away August 22, 2010; two sisters - Hazel Shelley and Marjorie Gens and two brothers - George and David Gens. Friends may call Saturday September 10 from 10 am - Noon at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where a memorial service will follow at Noon.
