Eldon G. Boyd

Eldon G. Boyd, of Route 39, Arcade, NY died Thursday December 24, 2015 in Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home, Springville, NY at the age of 94.

He was born July 21, 1921 in Markham, Ontario, Canada a son of the late Hugh and Ruby (nee Batt) Boyd. He was a retired production line worker for International Paper in Erie, PA and had previously worked for Oral Roberts. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Erie, PA, a member of the Summit Lions Club of Erie, PA and attended the Arcade Church of God, Arcade, NY.

He is survived by his second wife - Ruth (nee Merk) Richardson Boyd whom he married May 4, 1985 in Arcade, NY; his sons - Paul Boyd of Paradise Cove, FL and David (Jane) Boyd of Mayville, NY; his step-children - Donald (Joyce) Richardson of Hilton, NY, Ruthie (Elwood) Hilfiker of Ontario, NY, Hope (Ronald) Atwater of Arcade, NY, William (Elizabeth) Price of Erie, PA, Jean Hoag of Girard, PA; son-in-law - James Spencer of Rochester, NY; siblings - Vivian (George) Fletcher of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, Doreen Denne of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, Arthur (Joan) Boyd of St. Clements, Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law - Patricia Boyd of Brampton, Ontario, Canada; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife - Emily Frances Boyd who passed away in 1984; daughter - Brenda Boyd; step-daughters - Noreen Spencer, Nancy (late John) Hawkins; son-in-law - Richard Hoag; siblings - Jean Frost, Bertha Rudolff, Arnold Boyd.
