Bessie L. Burroughs

Bessie L. (Plotz) Burroughs of Sherman Dr., Arcade died Saturday July 2, 2016 at the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital at the age of 73. She was born March 7, 1943 in Springville- a daughter to the late William and Rolina (Bridenbaker) Plotz. She was a homemaker and had also worked at Motorola and her own hair salon. She was a member of the Arcade First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and baking. Her husband- Lloyd S. Burroughs, whom she married November 18, 1961 in Eddieville, NY, passed away February 10, 1995. She is survived by her daughters: Roxane (LeRoy Barber) Ballard of Virginia Beach, VA; Kimberly (James) Maiorano of Arcade; her siblings: Sandra Herman of Machias; Diane (Joe) Plume of West Valley; two grandchildren: Dillon Stiles and Matthew Maiorana; a step-grandson: Davonte Duprey; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings: William Plotz and Mary Johnson. Memorials may be made to the Arcade Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad- P.O. Box 303 Arcade, NY 14009
