SINGH, DR. NAUNIHAL, 86 - of Linwood, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Dr. Singh was a renowned public figure. He was Member of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, in the Government of India, which is equivalent to a U.S Senator. Dr. Singh represented Government of India in the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Abba, Ethiopia, and negotiated inter-government trade between Japan and India. Prior to this, Dr. Singh held senior executive positions in the Ministry of Industry, Government of India. Dr. Singh also taught International Business, Strategic Policy and Planning, and Marketing at several prominent educational institutions in United States starting with the Richard Stockton State College of New Jersey. Dr. Singh was born in Village – Sohjna Rani, District – Bulandshahr, U.P, India. Dr. Singh was widely travelled in North and South Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. Dr. Singh was also very highly educated with a post-doctoral D(Litt.) Degree in International Business, PhD in Management, two Masters Degrees in Economics and Sociology, and a Bachelors Degree in Law (L.L.B). Dr. Singh was a prolific writer with over 60 books to his credit. Dr. Singh is survived by his son, Tribhuvan Singh, and three daughters Rajeshwari Singh, Manjulika Singh, and Meena Chandela. Dr. Singh was predeceased by his wife Lila Devi and his eldest Son Surya Pal Singh. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225, Tel# (609) 641-0065. Hindu payers will be performed by an Indian Priest during the visitation/viewing period followed by cremation at the Laurel Memorial Park, 2301 English Creek Avenue (off Tilton Road), Pomona, NJ. After that food will be served at Bombay Indian Restaurant, English Creek Shopping Center, Egg Harbor Twp. Tel# (609) 646-4445.
