William Stemmer

“Len” William Leonard Stemmer William. L. Stemmer of Lumberton passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 with his family by his side at his residence. He was 81. Len was born in Rancocas, NJ and had been a longtime resident of Lumberton at the time of his death. He had worked and retired from the Burlington County Bridge Commission after 20 years. Len was a Member of the Mt. Holly Lodge #14 F. & A. M. After he retired, Len enjoyed traveling with his wife Doris, he also enjoyed going to watch the horses run at the track, watching golf on television, going to play bingo with his kids; and just spending time with his family. Len was a big Smarty Jones fan. He adored his family immensely, especially his children and he was always so happy to visit with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Mark and three of his sisters. Len is survived by his wife of 56 years Doris Stemmer (nee‐Oldham); four children and their spouses: Gary Crosby (Cathy), William “Lenny” Stemmer Jr., Tammy Zernick (Tim) and Bonnie Stauffer (Mike); his grandchildren: Nicole, Courtney, Mark and Kailee; and his sister Catherine DeLeo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 3 rd at 11AM at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, 317 High St., Mt. Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Thursday morning from 9‐11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Mt. Holly Cemetery.
