LOUIE, James S. On October 11, 2016. Age 98. Of Voorhees, NJ. Beloved husband of Ruby Y. (nee Lu) and the late Lillian and Marie Louie. Devoted father of David Louie, Nancy Louie (David), Jeanne Cody (John), Richard Louie, Ron “Butch” Moreno (Valerie) and Guoyo “Mary” Chen. Caring grandfather of Jessica, Abigail, Elliott, Jillian and Oliver. Dear great grandfather of Ava. Dear uncle of Vivian and Danny Lu. James was born in Foshan, China in the Nan Hai Village. He served during WWII in the US Air Force 14th Division Flying Tigers while defending China against Japan and after his service he graduated from Temple University in Electrical Engineering. He also received an accounting degree from Rutgers University and worked at the Franklin Institute Research Laboratories and as a Villanova Professor. He served on the Maple Shade Board of Education, member of the Lions Club and was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for over 75 years. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday October 15th from 9:30- 10:45 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 915 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday at the church. Interment Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the church.
