TURCOTTE, Edward A., on September 29, 2016, of Medford NJ. Age 77. Beloved husband of Rosine Turcotte (nee Morgan). Loving father of Kimberly Mattson and her husband, Carl and Alex Turcotte and his wife, Tiffany. Dear grandfather of Eric, Valerie and Aidan. He is the brother of Rosemarie Ollinger and her husband, Garry and brother in law of Gary Laursen and is predeceased by his parents, Edward J. and Mary Turcotte, Mary's special friend, Jim Ritchie and siblings, Dale and Bill Turcotte and Cecille Laursen. Mr. Turcotte was born in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada and raised in Prince Rupert, B.C., Canada. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and after serving began employment with RCA which brought him to the South Jersey area. He was an Electrical/Systems Engineer involved in international projects. He has designed, marketed, installed and started up telecommunications, data gathering and process control systems throughout the world for RCA, Univac-Sperry Rand, Honeywell, General Electric and Westinghouse. Since joining Westinghouse in 1972, Mr. Turcotte was a Senior Engineer in the Computer and Instrumentation division. He was responsible for the sales of Petroleum and Petro Chemical, Pipeline and Power Control Supervisory Systems. He was the Lead Sales Engineer in Power Systems Project Division involved in nuclear power plant projects in Thailand and Egypt. His extensive travel around the world while working took him to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, Dubai, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greenland, Holland, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mali, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Yugoslavia. In addition to English he spoke French fluently and had a working vocabulary in Arabic, Danish, Parsi, German, Japanese and Korean. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. It always brought a smile to his face, playing chess, scrabble, checkers and card games with them. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment Wenonah Cemetery, Wenonah NJ.
