Anne M. “Neddy” DeMarco, age 93 of West Long Branch, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at home. Mrs. DeMarco was born in Long Branch and was a graduate of Long Branch High School. She was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, DeMarco Tile, before retiring. Anne was the Matriarch of the family and a very spiritual woman. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years and the love of her life, Ernesto DeMarco in 2014; her parents, Pasquale and Rose Palmieri; and 4 brothers and two sisters, Rose Musto, Ralph, Patsy, Harry and Mario Palmieri, Angela Amato and son-in-law Michael Widdis. Surviving are her son, Anthony DeMarco and his wife Bev; 4 daughters, Margaret Penta and her husband John, Rose Marie Widdis and her companion Seby Marchese, Anne Marie Lisa and her husband Bill and Donna DeMarco-Barra and her husband, Rick; her brother, Christian Palmieri, sister, Mary Lagrotteria; 10 grandchildren, Thomas DeMarco and his wife Katie, Michael DeMarco; Anthony DeMarco and his wife Katie, Charlie Widdis and his wife Laura; Michelle Widdis, Jessica Lisa, Donna Lisa, Billy Lisa, Christopher Barra, Kim Chute and her husband Chad; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 4-7 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.,) in Long Branch. Funeral, Friday, 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch.
