Michelle Leigh Sampson of Cadet, Missouri was born on Tuesday, October 21, 1969 in Potosi, Missouri. A daughter of Joyce (Cain) Sampson and Lindell R. Sampson. Shelley departed this life on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of forty-six years, eight months and sixteen days. She is survived by her parents, Lindell and Joyce Sampson of Cadet, Missouri; three brothers, Rusty Sampson and fiancé, Shanna of Irondale, Missouri; Ryan Sampson of Cadet, Missouri; Timmy and Audrey Sampson of Cadet, Missouri; fiancé, Mike Taylor of Cadet, Missouri; nephews, Ethan, Seth, Cameron; nieces, Paige, Tiffany, Ginny, Julee, Natalee; special cousins, Jared, Jewel, Anna Lee; special aunts and uncles, Shelia and Billy Sampson, Rich and Karrie Boyer, Bunny and Patsy; her fur babies, Baby Boy, Maisy, Lil Pete; special cousins, who were like brothers, Willie Sampson and Brandon Sampson. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Goldie Boyer, Russell and Theresa Sampson, Jesse Callahan and one fur baby, Baby Girl. Shelley enjoyed the many gifts of Mother Nature, gardening and mowing her grass. She was always concerned about others and loved visiting with all her family and friends. Shelley was known for cooking and baking to share with her family and neighbors. She loved her family to the fullest and lived a full life, enjoying all of her family. Shelley had a strong love for animals and always did all she could to rescue any that needed help. Shelley loved catching minnows and fishing and spending any time she could soaking up the sun and camping at the creek. Although she did not have children, she treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. She loved when they had sleepovers and they always had to have root beer floats with their “Clam Shelley” as they called her. She was always ready to do arts and crafts with the girls. Shelley loved her “fur babies” which were like her kids and she loved them dearly. Her smile, laughter and personality could light up a room anytime she walked in. Shelley will be forever remembered for the love and laughter she shared. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2016 and Monday, July 11, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 AM on Monday at St. Joachim Church located at 10120 Crest Rd. Old Mines, Missouri 63630 with Father Tony Dattilo officiating. Final Prayers and Burial took place in St. Joachim Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Rusty Sampson, Ryan Sampson, Timmy Sampson, Ethan Sampson, Billy Sampson, Willie Sampson, Brandon Sampson and Jared Boyer. Services were entrusted into the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
