Joseph Adia “Popeye” Juliette of Cadet, Missouri was born Monday, September 28, 1931 in Old Mines, Missouri. A son of the late, Patrick Juliette and the late, Mary Lucy (Politte) Juliette. “Popeye” departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at his residence in Cadet, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Mary Kincaid on September 30, 1950 in Old Mines, Missouri and they were blessed with nine children. He is survived by three sons, Lynn Juliette and Liz Bennett of Cadet, Missouri; Billy Juliette of Cadet, Missouri; Steve and Kathy Juliette of Cadet, Missouri; four daughters, Sharon and Kenneth Boyer of Cadet, Missouri; Elaine and Ralph Pickett of Potosi, Missouri; Marcia and Charles Kissire of Cadet, Missouri; Susie Juliette of Cadet, Missouri; one brother, Thomas "Jap" and Elsi Juliette of Mineral Point, Missouri; three sisters, Celeste Bone of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Betty Coleman of Blackwell, Missouri; Nancy Goff of Cadet, Missouri; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and many friends, including his furry neighbors, “Boo” and “George”. In addition to his parents, “Popeye” was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Juliette, son, Mike Juliette, daughter, Rita Juliette, brothers, Glennon Juliette, Patrick Juliette and Charles Juliette, sister, Virginia Kincaid. He was a very loving husband, dad and caregiver. “Popeye” loved to watch Cardinals Baseball on television and pitching horseshoes, especially with his brother, “Jap”. He enjoyed the many gifts of Mother Nature, going hunting, fishing, cutting wood and all outdoor activities. He spoke fluent French and loved sharing historic stories of years gone by. “Popeye” was always willing to help anyone, especially his children and grandchildren, who will all deeply miss him. Visitation was held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 and Friday, July 22, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri. Mass of Christian burial was at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Joachim Church located at 10120 Crest Rd. Old Mines, Missouri with Father Tony Dattilo officiating. Final prayers and burial took place in St. Joachim Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Keith Pickett, Terry Pickett, Shawn Boyer, Tyler Johnson, Derek Juliette, Jake Hutchings, Jake Hutchings Jr. and Brandon Kissire. Moore Funeral Homes is honored to have been selected to serve “Popeye”, his family and friends.
