Beverly "Kitty" Moore

Beverly Lee “Kitty” Moore of Potosi, Missouri was born on July 13, 1929 in Cario, Nebraska. A daughter of the late, Marcus Lorensen and the late, Patience (O’Field) Lorensen. Kitty departed this life on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-six years, eleven months and fifteen days. Kitty was united in marriage to Bob R. Moore on June 20, 1949 in Colorado and were blessed with five children. Kitty is survived by two daughters, Clara Lynn Dunn and husband, Delane of Branson West, Missouri; Cindy Schallenberg and husband, Dolph of Washington, Missouri; William “Bill” Moore and wife, Connie of St. Charles, Missouri; James “Jim” Moore and wife, Sherry of Potosi, Missouri; John H. Moore and wife, Tina of Potosi, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren: Tim and wife, Caycee, Bryan and Karen, Katie, Joni, Mike, David, Emily, Mollie, Allison, Devin, Jonathan, Jamie, Joe; great-grandchildren: Mason, Kolette, Kayden, Tiny Keith, Chase and Andy; sister-in-law, JoAnn Roderique and husband, Don of Jacksonville, Florida; special son and daughter, John and Mary Jo Tweedie and their children, Andrea, Dr. John T. and James; Nephews, Butch Lorensen and wife Sheri, Chris Roderique; nieces, Janet Meastes, Sue Ann Gorman;also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob R. Moore, one brother and sister-in-law, Harold “Sparky” and Jeannie Lorensen, two sisters, Patricia Lorensen and Chuckie Lorensen. Kitty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years and served as Past Worthy Matron, Past District Deputy Grand Matron. She was also a member of the Samaritan #24 and served as Past Worthy High Priestess, Past Supreme Instructor and a member of the White Service of Jerusalem. She enjoyed volunteering at the Washington County Memorial Hospital for many years, visiting with all the patients and other workers. Kitty was always baking sweet treats for everyone. She loved spending time with family and friends and especially her kitties. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the WCMH Foundation c/o Washington County Memorial Hospital, 300 Healthway Dr., Potosi, MO 63664. Visitation was held Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A Funeral Service was Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Dan Anderson-Little and Rev. Mike Jarvis officiating. Final prayers and burial in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Delane Dunn, Tim Dunn, Jim Moore, Joe Moore, John Tweedie, Bryan Smith, Mike Conley and Devin Moore. Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street Potosi, Missouri.
