Richard Johnson, 46, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. Richard was born August 12, 1970 in Independence, MO to Richard and Terry Johnson. He was a graduate of Truman High School and worked for many years as an automotive mechanic. In his spare time he enjoyed going to the boats, watching the Chiefs and NASCAR. Most of all he loved time with his children. Richard will be remembered by his children Rachel Kover and husband Robert of Blue Springs, MO, Ben Johnson of Blue Springs, MO; their mother Gery; father Richard Johnson, Sr. and wife Roberta of Independence, MO; mother Terry Johnson of Independence, MO; brother Jeremiah Johnson of Independence, MO; sister Laura Johnson of Independence, MO; niece Payton Hennier; aunts and uncles: Vicki and Mike Hines, Rick and Charlotte Lane, Dennis and Lori Lane, Tammie and David Horrocks, Kyle Lane, Laurie and Jim Hays, Cecilia Johnson, Chris and Mary Noland, and many cousins.
