Mary Ann Swann, 96, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 15, 2016. Visitation will be from 9-10am, with service to follow at 10am, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Mary Ann, (given name of Marie Anne) was born in St. Zacharie, Canada on October 13, 1920 to Phillip and Delina (Dubois) Faucher. Her parents moved the family to the United States in order to give them a better life. They settled in Maine, and in 1945 she moved to the Kansas City area. Mary Ann loved to knit and crochet. She loved to share her talents with family and friends. Mary Ann was a very kind, compassionate, and loving person to all. She enjoyed being around people. She was known as either Mom or Grandma to all. You could always count on her to have fresh baked goods and ready to sit down and visit regardless of what time you came by. Survivors include; son Joe Duley and wife Dianna; 7 grandsons; 3 granddaughter;11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wallace Swann, sons Don Duley and Phillip Duley; 2 daughters in law, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Marks Catholic Church.
