Brian E. Messer 51 passed away July 20, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital. Brian was born on December 26, 1964 in Independence, MO to Clarence and Leota (Flippin) Messer. Brian is preceded in death by his parents and sister Debbie Messer. Survivors include; partner of over 31 years, Tammy Fields; sons Jerry Fields, Brian Lee Messer and Devin Fields; daughter Misty Fields; 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; Brother, Eric Messer, many nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends. Brian was a jack of all trades and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial BBQ will be from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday at Roper Park in Sugar Creek, MO. In lieu of flowers, bring a covered dish.
