Kenneth Joe “Kenny Joe” Brinkley of Jerome, Missouri was born Sunday, November 2, 1941 at Phelps County, Missouri to the union of Ira and Josephine F. (nee: Wagoner) Brinkley, Jr. and left from this life, surrounded by family, on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Silverstone Place in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 74 years. Kenny Joe graduated from the Lucas High School in Lucas, Iowa. While living in Iowa Kenny Joe met and fell in love with a beautiful young lady named Reba Hinkle. They were united in marriage on December 7, 1960 at Farmington, Iowa and they are the very proud parents of Kim, Karen “Katy” and Keith. Kenny Joe was a truck driver for thirty plus years before he retired in 2001. He drove over two million miles without an accident. During his career he drove for Toms Candy, Pepsi, Dodd Truck Line in Rolla, Missouri, Cheese Borough-Ponds in Jefferson City, Missouri and the last twenty years of his career he drove over the road for Cantex in Rolla, Missouri. After retiring and when he felt good Kenny Joe rode his four-wheeler around Jerome, so he could visit with all the residents. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the river and visiting with his other truck driver friends. Kenny Joe was a devout member of Apostolic Faith Church of Jerome for fifty four years. What Kenny Joe truly enjoyed most in life was spending time with his wife Reba, their children and their grandchildren. Kenny Joe was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Ira and Josephine Brinkley, Jr., one sister Margie Ann Brinkley, son-in-law Keith Peterman, two sisters-in-law Nina Coffee and infant Jessie Maxine Hinkle, brother-in-law Carl E. Hinkle and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of nearly fifty six years Reba Brinkley of the home, three children Kim and husband Jeff Feeler of Rolla, Katy Peterman of Jerome and Keith and wife Tresa Brinkley of Duke, Missouri, seven grandchildren: Angie Feeler of St. James, Zach Feeler of Rolla, Derek and wife Ginger Peterman of St. James, Kevin Peterman of Jerome, Kaleb Canoy and fiance Brittney Hoskins of Wardell, Missouri, Joey Brinkley of Duke and Olivia Brinkley of Duke, brothers-in-law Charlie and wife Betty Hinkle, Allen and wife Pam Hinkle, Phillip and wife Tammy Hinkle all of Arkansas and Tommy and wife Cyndi Hinkle of Texas, sisters-in-law Judy and husband Johnny Gibson of Arkansas and Debra Hinkle of Texas, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 5:00 till 8:00 pm at the Apostolic Faith Church, 23030 State Route D, Jerome, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Apostolic Faith Church, 23030 State Route D, Jerome, Missouri with Pastor Don Arthur officiating, the obituary and readings by Pastor Tim Blackwell and special music by Pastor Chris Dew. Honored to be serving as pall bearers will be Zach Feeler, Derek Peterman, Kaleb Canoy, Kevin Peterman, Joey Brinkley and Tim Feeler. Honorary pall bearers will be Angie Feeler and Olivia Brinkley. Interment and prayers will follow at the Harrison Pillman Cemetery, Arlington, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Brinkley family
