Rodney “Earl” Perkins, age 67, passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2016 in Lake, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2016 from 5:30PM until 7:00PM and again on Friday April 8, 2016 from 10:00AM until 10:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Lake, MS. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Robert Roncali, Bro. Jonathan Soden, and Bro. B.J. Davidson. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Perkins was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Morton, MS. He was a very well-known musician throughout many counties and he played for the Harvest Quartet and the Sistrunk Sisters for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Oma Perkins; and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his special friend, Annette Parker of Lake, MS; one daughter, Teresa Perkins Rigaud of Morton, MS; two sons, David Earl Perkins (Virginia) of Lake, MS and Rodney Lynn Perkins of Vaiden, MS; one brother, David Perkins of Forest, MS; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Danny Luke, David Renfrow, Eddie Rigaud, Bailey Rigaud, Herbie Windham, and Billy Wayne Perkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Judge Robert Wilkerson, Byron Hollingsworth, Tom Nance, Destry Hollingsworth, Gilbert Brown, and B.J. Davidson.
