Mr. Robert Shannon Irby, age 50, passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 10:00AM until 10:50AM at New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 11:00AM at New Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements. Shannon was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Scott County Hunting Club. At the time of his illness, he worked at Phoenix Electrical Contractors. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. W.C. and Lozelle Wall and Woodrow and Elizabeth Irby. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Irby of Morton, MS; parents, John Robert and Billie Irby of Morton, MS; three sons, Jonathan Cole Irby (Brandi) of Morton, MS, Joshua Peyton Irby of Madison, MS, and Michael Shannon Armstrong II of Morton, MS; one daughter, Kayla Armstrong Rineheart (Jonathan) of Brandon, MS; one sister, Rhonda Irby Bailey (Brent) of Canton, MS; one brother, John Donovan Irby (M.J.) of Morton, MS; two grandchildren, Grayson Glenn Irby and Carson Lane Rineheart; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Kip Stone, Jimmy Nichols, Cobby Lang, William Garner, Sonny Callahan, Jake Callahan, Robby Cos Thompson, and Mackey Thompson.
