Marion Benon Haralson "Ben" entered this world August 20, 1944 and went home to be with the Lord October 1, 2016 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Sallie Bee Haralson, brothers, Jack Haralson, Keith Haralson, and Tom Haralson, sisters, Ida Maude Busby and Ruth Taylor. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Geraldine Haralson, sons; Jimmy Kelly (Cathy), Joe Kelly, Justin Haralson (Melinda), and daughter, Jeannie Singleton (Robert) all of Conehatta. Rhonda Alford of Harperville. Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Born in Franklin Parish Louisiana, he enlisted in the army in 1960 and served his country proudly for many years. Ben met and married Geraldine Weaver in 1969. Throughout their life together they traveled the country and abroad due to his military obligations. After retiring from service, they returned to Conehatta Mississippi where they shared a wonderful, blessed life together. Ben was a one of a kind man. He loved his wife and his children with his whole being. He was dependable, trustworthy, and honest. He was the kind of man who may not have had the most in this life, but he would be the first to help anyone in need. He was extremely skilled in many trades. He loved working with his hands. Ben was a well respected mechanic and was employed in the timber industry for many years. Ben's wit and charm were contagious. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
