Jerry S. Hamm, age 73, passed away on Sunday May 1, 2016, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 in the Lake City Cemetery in Lake, MS with interment to follow. Officiating will be Rev. Ken McLemore and Rev. Danny Lanier. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Hamm had been a lifelong resident of Lake, MS. He was a member of the Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Mason and a Shriner. He also loved to visit with his friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Luddie Hamm; three sisters, Elizabeth Owens, Blanche Parks, and Barbara Goodwin; one brother, James “Buddy” Hamm. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hamm and Melinda Tyler both of Newton, MS; one son, Kyle Wayne Hamm of Franklinton, LA; two sisters, Sue Waltman (Allen) of Lake, MS and Inkey Riddle of Vicksburg, MS; one brother, Baker Hamm (Mary) of Lake, MS; one grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
