Frances M. O’Brien. Born Frances M. Rojina 05-02-1923 to Mary and Frank Rojina at Excelsior MN. Died peacefully 08-25-2016 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by loving husband Gerald, her parents, two brothers Paul and Stanley, and a child Maxine. Survived by 7 children: Gerald (Lori), Maureen, Eileen (Dick), Pauline (Joseph), Michele (Chip), Yvonne (Karl), and John (Karin) and 10 grandchildren. Frances graduated from the St. Mary’s school of nursing and worked as a registered nurse for many years retiring in 1994. On January 4, 1951 she married Gerald C. O’Brien. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mom was the foundation of her family as her strong faith and indomitable spirit enabled her to be the mother on whom every child could depend. Frances was a long time member of St. John the Baptist parish. Mass of Christian Burial Wed. August 31, 2016 at 11 AM, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 680 Mill Street, Excelsior MN (952-474-8868). Visitation Tues. August 30, 5-8 PM with a prayer service 7:30 PM at St. John’s. Visitation also 1 hour prior to the Mass on Wed. at church. Luncheon immediately following the Mass with internment to follow. Memorials preferred to charity of donor’s choice.
