Lou Ann Warner Portland Lou Ann (Hartwick) Warner, 62, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2016. Lou Ann was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 27, 1953 to the late Orville and Francine (Hills) Hartwick. Lou Ann graduated from Portland High School and married George Albert Warner on June 30, 1972. She managed an adult foster care in her home shortly after marriage. After starting her family, she began a merchandising career with American Greetings. Lou Ann enjoyed volunteering, reading, baking and spoiling her children and grandchildren. Most nights she could be heard gossiping on the phone with her cherished older sister, Linda. She was a life member of the VFW Post 4090 Ladies Auxiliary, currently serving as secretary. Lou Ann is survived by her loving husband, George Warner; sons, Thomas (Kristi) Warner and David (Monica) Warner; grandchildren, Evan, Zane, Leona, and Harrison; sister, Linda (Mike) Meyers; brother, Steve (Vanessa) Hartwick; aunts, Irene and Carolyn; uncle Fred (Virginia); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Nicholas James. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Reverend Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at the Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
