Dale Ivan Petrie Sunfield Age 81, died Monday, July 18, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 7, 1934 the son of Ray and Anna Petrie. Dale was a life long farmer in Sunfield and enjoyed winters in Florida for many years. He was preceded in death by his wives Jeanne in 1963 and Ruth in 2001; his special friend, Ruth Seabold; son, Gary Erdman; granddaughter, Kylie Erdman. Surviving are his children Gordon (Sue) Petrie, John (Cindy) Petrie, Diane (Ferry) Anthony, Bill Erdman, Richard (Cheryl) Erdman, Jody (David) Cassel and Molly (George) Cassel; 21 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Nancy Wrisley, Diane Starkweather and Mary Wheeler. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. John Piercefield at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will follow at Danby Cemetery.
