Ronald E. Cornwell Mr. Ronald E. Cornwell, age 77, of Nashville passed away Monday, September 5th, 2016 at Thornapple Manor, in Hastings, MI. Ronald was born in Battle Creek, MI on January 30, 1939, the son of the late William and Edith (Troy) Cornwell. He was raised in the Springfield area and attended local schools graduating from Battle Creek Central High School. He continued his education by taking advance coursework related to his career as a machinist. Ron worked as a Machinist for General Motors at the Oldsmobile plant in Lansing for over 30 years before retiring in 1993. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Vorce) Cornwell. The couple was married December 22, 1973 in East Lansing, MI. They began their lives together in the Lansing area, then moved to the Nashville area where they raised their family together. Ron & Liz have celebrated over 42 years of marriage. Ron loved to fix things, and enjoyed working on and riding his motorcycles. It was his goal to visit all 50 states on is Motorcycle, and he accomplished most of them before becoming ill. Along with his family, they enjoyed camping in Northern Michigan. These camping adventures began with the family camping in tents, but later they made the transition to rustic camping using the pop up camper. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife Liz, sons Todd (Michelle) Cornwell, Eric (Mindy Shoup) Cornwell, sister, Sue (Paul) Haist, brother, Jim Cornwell, 3 Grandchildren, Brooke, McKenzie, Jacob Cornwell he was preceded in death by his son Christopher Cornwell, brother Bill Cornwell, and his grandson Nicolas Cornwell. A memorial service will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016, with pastor Tom Raymond officiating.
