She also held special affection for so many more nieces and nephews. Pat served in the Army from 1952 - 1955 and received an Honorable Discharge. She was an avid member of the American Legion and VFW. She loved music and could rarely accomplish even a simple task without dancing and singing through it. She was well-known for her acerbic wit and her terrific sense of humor. Her most often uttered phrase when she was younger was 'Wait Until Your Father Comes Home' which was an empty threat because she never told on any of her kid's transgressions! Pat was a fantastic cook and often fed so many more than her family - people flocked to her house for her fantastic roast beef, home made bread and pies! She absolutely adored plain vanilla ice cream. She loved to walk at the Ludington State Park with her precious pug 'Susie' and then later with 'Katie. Her strength and resilience carried her entire family through many hard times. Special thanks to Lakeside Vista and Hospice of Holland. Extra special thanks and love to Lisa Miscovich, who adopted Pat from day one at Lakeside Vista and succeeded in making Pat feel at home. Pat always called her 'My Lisa' and could not go more than a day or two without seeing her. A memorial Service will be conducted at the American Legion In Ludington, Mi at 318 N.
