Lillian Lucille Tacktor, age 86 of Ludington passed away on Sunday July 24, 2016 at Mercy Health Partners – Mercy Campus in Muskegon.

She was born on March 13, 1930 in Ludington, daughter of the late Leo and Goldie (Myers) Yeck. Lillian graduated from St. Simon Catholic School in Ludington. Lillian married Rodney Tacktor on July 8, 1950 in Ludington at St. Simon Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2007.

Lillian loved flowers and worked as a florist here in Ludington for many years. She was also a very proud mother who took loving care of her children as well. She loved going to White Fish Point in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to walk the beach looking for Lake Superior Agates.

Lillian is survived by 4 daughters, Doreen (Dick) Scott, Debbie (Ron) Batt, DeeDee (Bill) Tucker and Denise Tacktor of Ludington; 13 grandchildren, Tammy, Jennifer, Travis, Joe, Todd, Lea, Ryan, Bridgette, Shawn, Chad, Jessica, Chris and Ben; brother, Hank Yeck of Kent City; sister, Kathy (Pete) Kuiper of Visalia, CA; brother-in-law, Herb Tacktor of Ludington; 2 sister-in-law’s, Donna Masse of Ludington and Phyllis Yeck of Cheboygan; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rodney; daughter, Delcine Tacktor; son, David Tacktor; grandson, Jason Tacktor; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering will be held from 4:00 till 6:00PM on Thursday July 28, 2016 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington.
