Bennie Pfefferle

Bennie (Ben) Frederick Pfefferle, age73 of Ludington, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at home. He was born on March 30, 1943 in Michigan City, IN, son of the late Bennie F. and Nina (Kellogg) Pfefferle. Bennie attended Isaac C. Elston High School of Michigan City, IN and graduated with the class of 1961. He joined the US Army reserves and later married Diane Renee’ White on June 15, 1968 at the Bethany Lutheran Church of Ludington, MI. In his younger years he worked in various different fields such as, Motyka Metal Products as a Tool and Die maker. Later he worked for Cashway Lumber Co. as the assistant manager. Bennie owned and operated Ben’s Construction and retired in 2012. Bennie was a member and past president and treasurer of the Fin & Feather Club. He was also a member and past treasurer of the Mason County Walleye Association. Bennie is survived by his wife: Diane; Sons: Ryan and Randy Pfefferle; sister: Penny (Bob) Hartman; brother-in law: Russell Bedker; nieces: Suann (Craig) Eisenlohr and Rushell Bedker; Aunt: Pauline Pfefferle; one great niece, two great-nephews and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Sandra Bedker. A service will be held at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington on Friday, October 28 at 12:00. There will be a visitation held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. prior to the service. There will be a private burial held at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington, MI. Memorial contributions in memory of Bennie may be directed to the Fin & Feather Club, or Mason County Walleye Association. Feel free to share a memory or photo with the family at www.oakgrovefh.com.
