Ruth “Sammi” Samuel, 89, of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home. The family will hold services at a later date, cremation has taken place. Ruth was born December 9, 1926 in Dorothy, West Virginia to George & Martha (Altizer) Brown. She married Roy Samuel on April 8, 1968 in Melvindale, MI. Mrs. Samuel was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She had also worked for many years at the Peter Pan Grocery in River Rouge and Wrigley’s in Melvindale. Sammi traveled in their motor home, along with her husband, all over the United States. She was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan who loved fishing, collecting rocks and going to the casino. She was a very creative person and was always crafting items to give to someone else. Ruth is survived by her husband Roy, her daughter Ada MacMillan of Battle Creek, her daughter-in-law Tammy Berryhill of Union City, her grandchildren Mike, Danny Ray, Kelly, Tom, Shannon and many great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Danny and Victor, many brothers and sisters and 2 grandchildren. www.dutcherfh.com.
