Ruth Eileen Clutter, 90, of Jackson formerly of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Jackson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Larry Stephens officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Ruth was born December 15, 1925 to Harley and Juanita (Fraley) Clutter in Chono Court, W. Virginia. She married Edward Dean Clutter on May 27, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2007.Ruth was a current member of the Horton Rd. Church of Christ in Jackson and she had been a member of the Coldwater Church of Christ of which her husband was a previous minister. Ruth loved taking care of her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, children, teaching Sunday school and playing the piano as she taught private lessons for many years. Ruth is survived by her children; Ken (Barbara) Clutter of Dallas, Texas, Diane (Larry) Stephens of Livonia and Cynthia Kraus of Jackson, her grandchildren; Brad Clutter, Laura Campbell, Julie Marcum, Matthew Stephens, Ryan Wadsworth, Rochelle Witt, Robin Miller, and many great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Wanda Rice, and a great granddaughter.
