Nancy Bowman

Nancy Lucille Bowman, 74 of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home while surrounded by family. In following Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will occur at a later date. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home. Nancy was born October 22, 1941 to Walter and Bernice (Lantz) Spencer in Hardin County, OH. She graduated from high school and then started nursing school. Nancy decided that nursing was not going to be her future and she started working in the restaurant business. At one time she owned the Stockyard Restaurant in Coldwater. On September 15, 1990 she married Edward Bowman in Coldwater. Nancy had many hobbies during her life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and canning. Nancy also liked to be outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She will be remembered as a quiet, caring, and pleasant woman who liked to do things in her own manner. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by many. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her daughter Diana (Andy) Bockheim of Coldwater; her stepchildren Bridgett Bowman of Fremont, IN and Mark Bowman of California; her sister Mary Lou Dotson of Lakeland, FL; her brothers Marion Spencer of Lima, OH, Scott (Polly) Spencer of Harrod, OH, Carl Henry (Rhea) Spencer of Harrod, OH, and Robert (Beverly) Spencer of Alger, OH; her grandchildren Andrew Jr., Neil, Mara, and Lilly Bockheim; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ed Bowman; her baby sister Carolyn Spencer; and her sister Doris Dotson.
