Joyce Myers

Joyce Myers, 84 of Coldwater and Wewahitchka, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in Corunna, IN. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Joyce was born November 29, 1931 to Pryce and Mabel (VanGorder) Stout in Watervliet, MI. After graduation from high school, she worked and lived in Coldwater. On August 24, 1952, she married the love of her life, Rodney Myers in Coldwater. After raising her family, Joyce went to work with the Coldwater Community School System as a cafeteria cook. She enjoyed her work as it kept her involved with children for 22 years, before retiring in 1997. Joyce was a woman of faith, attending both Northview Christian Church in Coldwater and First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka. She had many hobbies including flower gardening, going to the beach, and caring for animals. Joyce and Rodney traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada for 4 ½ years in their RV. Her true joy in life was being with her family. She will be missed by many. Mrs. Myers is survived by her husband of 64 years, Rodney Myers of Coldwater and Wewahitchka, FL; her children Shelly Bowen of Coldwater and Greg Myers of Reading; her grandchildren Josh Bowen, Steven Myers, and Elisa (Brandon) Manley; her great grandchildren Alexis Bowen and Denim Bowen; her niece Danell (Bruce) Bowers; and her favorite cat “Ming”.
