John Hagaman

John William Hagaman,79, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 with visitation starting at 12 Noon at Burlington Church of God with Pastor Philip Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Burlington Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. John was born June 20, 1937 to Charles Hubert and Cora Lottie (Lyon) Hagaman in Hillsdale. He graduated from Tekonsha High School and went to work for Midwest Foundry in Coldwater for 10 years. He married Janice A. Wilkinson on May 9, 1959 in Burlington. He was a part time postal carrier at the Burlington Post Office but he worked a 30 year career at Eaton Manufacturing in Marshall as a machine operator, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Burlington Church of God, the Harper Creek Snowmobile Club and he volunteered with the Burlington Fire Department. John was active in Boy Scouts and with Burlington baseball little league. He enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors but he especially loved being with his grandchildren and their activities. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Janice ; his children, Patty (Roger Cupps) Bell of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mike (Becki) Hagaman of Burlington and Brian (Jenny) Hagaman of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Andy Fox, Dawn Blevins, Audrey Cupps, Trevor (Courtney) Hagaman, Chase Hagaman, Derek Hagaman, Devin Hagaman, Tim (Erika) Nilles, Tyler Nilles and Andrew Peri; his great grandchildren, Alexis Blevins, Sebastian Blevins, Levi Nilles and Oliver Hagaman who is due to arrive in December; his siblings, Ned Hagaman of Quincy, Bruce Hagaman of Orland, Indiana, Bev Bell of Coldwater and Betty Hagaman of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Charles, Richard, Robert, Buddy Hagaman and Sasha Gentry. Memorials may be directed to Burlington Church of God Window Fund or Oaklawn Hospice.
