Of Framingham formerly of Waltham, passed away early Monday morning at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. She was 94. Born and raised in Waltham to the late Joseph and Margaret (Aucoin) Boudreau, she was a resident of Waltham for most of her life until moving to Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham 9 years ago, where she received excellent care and made many friends. As a young woman Rita worked on the assembly line at the Watch Factory in Waltham. Later she became a waitress working at several restaurants including, Giardina's Restaurant in Waltham,The Pillar House in Newton and the Hillcrest in Waltham. Rita was a devoted member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Waltham. She was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered much of her free time to the Church. She also enjoyed traveling and most of all spending time with her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Close, mother of the late James M. Close, and grandmother of the late Daniel Close. She is also predeceased by her sisters Sr. Helena Boudreau, RCE, Maryrose McDermott, and Jeanette Everett, and her brother Joseph Boudreau. She is survived by her loving children Carol A. Hazel and her husband Bo of Framingham, David J. Close and his wife Denise (Dunn) of WA, and Robert E. Close of Framingham. She is also survived by 7grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting hours at Saint Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham, Thursday June 9 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Rita's life at 10 a.m. Interment, Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
