Henry Fallon

Of West Newton passed away peacefully, August 18, at the Wingate of Weston Nursing Home. He was 89 Born and raised in Lawrence to the late Henry William and Nellie (Fogarty) Fallon, he moved to west Newton in 1967 and has been a resident every since. Mr. Fallon Served honorably in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Bunker Hill during WWII. Hank worked at Honeywell for many years holding several different position most recently as a Purchasing Agent. He was a member of the Newton Nights of Columbus. In his spare time Hank enjoyed going to his vacation home in Dennisport, solving newspaper puzzles, and playing cards. He also enjoyed following sports especially football, during his high school days he was a star football player at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. He will be remembered as practical joker, and someone with a great sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Jeanette (Ferrera) Fallon of West Newton, his sister Elizabeth Purcell of Methuen and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Helen Vicedomine and Theresa Fallon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral services from at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday, August 23, at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard's Church, 1529 Washington St. Newton at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Society of the Little Flower by visiting www.littleflower.org.
