Frank Lewicki Obituary

Frank Lewicki, 90, left us all on October 1, 2016 after a valiant battle with stomach cancer. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara E. (Robis) Lewicki of Waltham, his son, Frank E. Lewicki of Worcester, his grandchildren Thomas Landherr and Corey Comi of New Jersey and Brooklyn Lewicki of Worcester, and his son-in-law, Jerome Comi, also of New Jersey. Frank was pre-deceased by his late daughter, Karen M. (Lewicki) Comi. Frank was born in Queens, New York. A veteran of the Army Air Corps, he served as a radio/radar specialist serving with the 475th Fighter Squadron in the Asia Pacific Theater during World War II. Frank earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at The Cooper Union in New York City’s East Village followed by a career of more than 38 years with The Raytheon Company managing product engineering, quality testing and engineering design, and production, fabrication and engineering at Raytheon’s Lowell, Massachusetts production facility. Frank’s brilliant mechanical aptitude carried over into many successful DIY home and garden projects and to a wide array of home and auto repairs. A true gentleman with many talents, Frank also excelled as an avid amateur film photographer in both black and white and color film. Frank was also an accomplished cook whether in the kitchen, or at his grill, much to the delight and hearty acclaim of his guests. His own culinary skills not to be outshone, Frank enjoyed sharing good meals and good times wherever he found them -- at the homes of family and friends or at a favorite restaurant. We’ve lost a good man – honorable, loyal, talented, and loving. At Frank’s request, his funeral and memorial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Frank and his family respectfully request that memorial donations be made to VNA of Middlesex East, Development Office, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880. A celebration of life will be held at the chapel in Newton Cemetery 791 Walnut Street Newton Centre, MA on Thursday October 6 at 11am.
