Evelyn Brenan Waltham, Massachusetts Obituary

Evelyn Brenan

Evelyn P. Brenan Formerly of Newton/Waltham, MA most recently residing in Newburyport, MA peacefully passed away on September 16, 2016. She was 90 years old and was the daughter of the late Carl and Eva M. (Enos) Pierce. Her presence would light up a room, and according to her family, she was never happier as when she opened “Evie’s Kitchen” in Waltham in 1983. Cooking was Evelyn’s passion and her art and if she wasn’t feeding people at the restaurant, she was feeding people at home. She will be remembered for her “scary” Halloween costume, as she always was a witch who loved dispensing candy to all neighborhood children. Evelyn was a show girl at heart; she went on stage dancing in her late 50’s. She was sparkly!! She also loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. Evelyn is survived by her children, Mary Burrell of MA, Edward H. Burrell 2nd and his wife Brenda of TN, Jane Burrell of MA, Cynthia Burrell of MA, Charles Burrell of MA, Susan Ball and her husband Kevin of MA, and Leslie Brenan of NH, her grandchildren, Edward H. Burrell 3rd , Chris Marrazzo, Stephanie Cameron, Peter Cameron Jr., Carl Ball, Meghan Ball, Caitlin Ball, Marybeth Ball, and Jillian Scullin, her great grandchildren, Tessa Lawhorn, Madeleine Cameron, Jaidyn Cedeno, Jagger Ball, Charlee Thomas and many other loving family members and friends. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Richard Brenan and her grandson Frankie McNeil. All are invited for a visitation on September 19, 2016 12pm with a funeral service starting at 1pm at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM. Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery 250 High St Waltham. In lieu of flowers the family has respectively requested expressions of sympathy be sent to St. Jude's Hospital for Children at www.stjude.org
