Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning June 7th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington at the age of 89. Born on August 23, 1926 in Lynn, Massachusetts; son of the late Alphee and Mary LeBlanc. Eugene's family returned to Mocton, New Brunswick, Canada when he was 2 years old. He was raised in Moncton and returned to the United States in 1963 and has been a Waltham resident for the past 53 years. As a young man he served in the Canadian Army at the end of World War II. He attended school in Moncton, and had been employed with the Reece Corporation in Waltham as a Fork Lift Operator and retired from the Weston Public Schools as a Custodian. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, cooking and eating. He loved watching television especially country westerns. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Doris (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, his loving children Walter LeBlanc and his wife Patricia of Dedham, Ivan LeBlanc and his wife Nancy of Wayland, Francis LeBlanc of New Brunswick, Pauline Pannella of Framingham, and Joanne Hodges of West Roxbury, his dear siblings Ivan LeBlanc of New Brunswick, Doris LeBlanc of New Brunswick, and Lillian Gauvin of Nova Scotia. In addition he is survived by 12 cherished grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 adoring great grandchildren. Father of the late John LeBlanc and brother of the late Geraldine, Bernard and Paulemele LeBlanc. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Eugene's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Sunday afternoon June 12th at 4:00 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel from 1 - 4 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army, 33 Myrtle Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
