Eileen Creonte Obituary

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham. She was 88. Born and raised in Waltham to the late Luke and Cecile (LeBlanc) Poirier, she was a life long resident of Waltham. Mrs. Creonte had an infectious personality, she loved to laugh and tell stories. Known as Nonie not only to her grandchildren but to anyone who knew her. She loved to cook and entertain and had a way of making everyone feel at home. She loved music and never shied away from a dance floor. She spent her winters in Vero Beach, Florida, and summered in her beloved Lake Winnipesaukee home, in Meredith, NH. Most of all Nonie loved to be with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years William. of Waltham, her devoted children William M. Creonte, Jr. and his wife Laurel (Doucette) of Waltham, Karen Cameron and her husband William of Florida, and Thomas Creonte and his wife Mary "Bari" (Gilbert) of Waltham, her sisters Ruby Caruso and her husband Tony of Waltham, Carol Poirier of Waltham, and Nancy Dickie and her husband Emerson of Watertown, her brother Paul Poirier and his wife Roberta of Florida, her cherished grandchildren Stacy Gray of Boston, Courtney Louie and her husband Joe of Colorado, Nichole Collins and her husband Michael of Waltham, Michael Creonte and his wife Sandy of Waltham, Kendra Keefe and her husband Shawn of Waltham, James Cameron and his wife Whitney of FL, Justin Cameron and his wife Mallory of FL, Michaela Creonte of Waltham, Natalia Parrella and her husband Kevin of Waltham, Anthony Creonte of Waltham, and Olivia Creonte of Acton, and her son-in-law William Cavanaugh of FL. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the beloved mother of the late Christine Cavanaugh, mother-in-law of the late Cheryl (Trainor) Creonte, and sister of the late Edna LeBlanc and Clifford Poirier. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Thursday at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Eileen's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
