LEICESTER- Teresa B. (Quinn) Cantara, 93, passed away peacefully on September 22,2016 with her daughters by her side in UMass Memorial Health Center University Campus. She leaves her husband of 63 years Edward J. Cantara; her daughters Sharon L. Bridgeford of Worcester, Sighle A. Philbin and her husband Philip J. of West Boylston, Marisa S. Ayvazian and her husband Philip J. of Paxton; 5 grandchildren Tanya, Anthony, Ariana, Ariel and Jack ; 2 great grandchildren Landon & Hannah; nephews, a niece and a very dear friend Virginia Soloperto of Auburn. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Mary Corrigan & Katherine Esterly; a brother Joseph Quinn and her first husband Clifford Bridgeford who died tragically in 1948. Teresa worked for the War Dept. at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas, she was a clerk at Lovel General Hospital at Ft. Devens in MA., later she owned and operated her own antiques business and worked at the Leicester Public Library until the time of her death. She loved antiquing, knitting and reading. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral Mass for Teresa on Saturday, October 1,2016 at 11:00AM in St. Pius Church X 1161 Main St. Leicester. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her name to the Elephant Sanctuary PO Box 393 Hohenwald,TN. 38462. Pillsbury Funeral Home 163 Main St. Spencer is directing arrangements.
