Raymond Colburn

Hendersonville, N.C. – Raymond L. Colburn, 84, passed away peacefully at the Four Seasons Elizabeth Hospice House on Monday September 12, 2016 surrounded by his son Michael, daughter Kathleen, a nephew Nathan and the caring staff of the Elizabeth House. Raymond had bravely battled dementia and its many complications. Raymond was born on December 3, 1932 in Lebanon New Hampshire. His parents, also from Lebanon were Custer and Margret Colburn. Raymond was one of five children. Harold Colburn, Clyde Colburn, Butch Colburn, and Shirley Colburn Felger, all deceased. Ray is predeceased in 2000 by his loving wife of 45 years, Ann Murphy Colburn, originally from Barre, MA. Raymond graduated from Lebanon High School. Raymond was a veteran, who proudly served his country in the US Army and Army National Guard from 1952-1958. Raymond worked for the Sherwin Williams Company for 42 years, starting in 1959 and retiring in 2001. Raymond and his family lived in West Lebanon and Lebanon in the 1960’s, 1970’s, and moved to Athol, MA. After retiring Raymond moved to Ocala, FL were he resided until 2010. In 2010 Raymond moved to Asheville, NC were his was lovingly cared for by his daughter Kathleen. A funeral service will be held privately on September 21, 2016 in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S.
