BROOKFIELD- Caroline M. (Gustafson) Stolgitis - of Brookfield, MA. formerly of Coventry, CT, Manchester, CT, Vineyard Haven, MA and North Ft Myers, FL. died October 4, 2016. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony B. Stolgitis, her parents Adolf “Mike” Gustafson and Marie ( Labrecque) Gustafson and her brother Eric B Gustafson. She leaves her children, Lynn and her husband William Sullivan, Michael and his wife Nanci Stolgitis, and Mark and his wife Deborah Stolgitis. Devoted grandmother of Payton Wooldridge, Ryan, Kevin and Kendall Stolgitis, Aimee Stolgitis and Daniel and Kaitlin Sullivan. Sister of Carl Gustafson and sister-in-law of Sandra Gustafson and Anna May Gustafson. Caroline was born in East Brookfield, MA. and lived in Brookfield. She worked in New York for Eastern Airlines and returned, married and lived in New Braintree. The family moved to Coventry CT. where she was the secretary at GH Robertson School for many years. She then owned and operated the Worn Yesterday Shoppe while returning to college for a degree in computer science and then a degree at the University of Connecticut in Floriculture and Horticulture. Caroline then became a successful real estate agent and later worked at the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce. Caroline also volunteered at the Talking Books in North Fort Myers, FL. and was a member of the Brookfield Garden Club. Friends and family are invited to attend memorial visitation on Friday, October 14,2016 from 4-7PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11Am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
