G. Russell "Russ" Sullivan of West Dennis formerly of Arlington died at the Wingate at Sudbury Nursing Home on Saturday Feb. 19, 2005. He was 91 years old. Russ was born Nov. 13, 1913. Son of the late William and Mary Jane Sullivan. He was raised in North Cambridge, where he graduated from St. John's High School and was a member of the Barry Corner crowd. He also attended St. Anselm College. Russ worked for the MBTA as a driver for many years before retiring in 1973. He owned and operated Sullivan Auto School in Medford. and Sullivan trucking Co. for the 1st National Stores. He was an a avid golfer and member of both the Maynard and Dennis Pines Golf Courses. Russ was a co-founder of the Menotomy Youth Hockey Program in Arlington. He lived with his family in Lexington and Arlington before retiring to West Dennis in 1978. Beloved husband of the late Margaret M. (Hogan). Loving father of Alice Miller of Worcester, Karen McKenna and her husband William of Westford, Mary of Arlington, Eliane Daniel of Marlborough, G. Russell Jr. and his wife Maureen of Westford, and Ellen Deitch of OR. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of William Sullivan, of W. Yarmouth, Leonard Sullivan of Marblehead, Virginia Sickles of Stoneham. Brother in Law of Ellen Sullivan of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Bonnie Sullivan of Fitzwilliams, NH. Brother of the late Paul, Charles, Richard, and Robert Sullivan. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Agnes Church in Arlington at 10 am. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
